As Senior Vice President of Technology and head of the Spectrum Innovation Lab, Bob brings 30 years of a broad range of technical and engineering expertise to BMT. Bob’s experience runs the gamut from field engineering to antenna design to highly complex RF signal propagation studies. Bob’s entire professional career has been dedicated to maximizing the technical facilities and signals of broadcast properties.
Prior to joining BMT, Bob was the founder and president of the consulting engineering firm of Denny & Associates, P.C. (formerly Jules Cohen and Associates) located in Oxon Hill, Maryland. He started his firm in 1994, and performed a wide range of consulting engineering services for media clients across the country for AM, FM, TV, and other services. Bob began his career serving as an engineer for Harris Corporation, and then directly for top notch broadcasters including Jefferson-Pilot Communications Company and Lincoln Broadcasting Corp.
Bob received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University in 1976. He is a co-author of the article entitled "Frequency Modulation Radio" found in the current edition of the Mc Graw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology. He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and a member and past officer of the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers. He also is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Society of Broadcast Engineers, and the International Association of Electrical Inspectors. |
