Company History

First Broadcasting was founded
in 1992 in San Francisco by serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist Ronald Unkefer (The Good Guys, InfoGear, Digital on Demand, and many others). Since that time, we have invested in dozens of spectrum development
projects in top markets all across the country. The aggregate value of
our investments exceeds a half-billion dollars, and we have created more
than $150 million of value for our stakeholders and partners. At the same
time, a critical element of our success has been the ability to better
serve spectrum owners and their communities by improving coverage
and performance. More efficient use of spectrum benefits everyone.
Over the years, First Broadcasting has built a dedicated team of professionals
with expertise in software development engineering, technology, construction management, FCC
regulation, zoning, finance and research. Our experienced team has built
scores of broadcast towers and related transmission facilities throughout
the U.S. and around the world.
First Broadcasting is a partnership between Alta Communications and Lawrence Capital Partners, L.P. Collectively, our partners have more than
100 years of experience in spectrum development engineering, regulation,
finance, transaction execution, and software development. |
